Laurence Patenaude is an emerging artist, originally from Montreal and currently based in Vancouver.
She enjoys working with a number of medias; including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography and printmaking.
Apart from artistic practice, she's been on a yoga journey for a many years. She completed her 200-hour Hatha yoga teacher training with the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in 2016.
I am constantly exploring the links between nature, body and emotions. Part of my work manifests itself as flowing line art which can be referred to as ''organic or biomorphic abstraction''.
I enjoy allowing my intuition guide me through drawings and paintings, letting the energy flow.
Art offers the opportunity to create moments of tranquility, awareness and contemplation; for myself and for others to experience.
I view yoga and art as complementary practices with great therapeutic and self discovery potentials.
